The old tower (Turanj) was initially built as a landmark for fisherman’s and sailors. The tower is 27 meters high and belongs to the nearby church St. Lovro. In the past the tower made it possible to exchange messages with ships that sail in the direction of the Pula harbor.
The visual signaling was adopted with lighting during the day and oil lamps by night.
This church of St Lovro was built in 1632 and is located at the middle section of the village. There are antiquities from the XVII century church, which includes the crucifix, five altars and an art form of a procession. Other attractions here include the baptistery, the elegant pulpit, and various statues.
